1 Aim of the service The aim of the service is to record and document the current occurrences of the mud whip (Misgurnus fossilis) in selected, potentially suitable water systems in the northeast of Saxony-Anhalt, in the Stendal district. The Mapping is intended to provide a reliable overview of the current occurrence of the species and as a basis for nature conservation assessments, action planning and as a basis for the assessment of the conservation status (EHZ) in accordance with the FFH directive serve as part of the FFH reporting obligation. Due to the difficulty of detecting the species, the nationwide FFH monitoring sampling points for the mudpeitzger in Saxony-Anhalt are not sufficient with regard to the informative value and assessment of the EHZ. One For this reason, more detailed recording of the mud whipper in areas where there are FFH monitoring sampling points for the species should be carried out. 2 Study area The area intended for the inventory of the mudpeitzger The study area is located in the northeast of Saxony-Anhalt in the Stendal district. The study area includes the waters listed in Appendix 1.2, Table 1 within the grid fields. Appendix 1.1, Fig.1 and Fig.2 shows the situation in the country. 3 Scope of services - general methodology, time frame The methodological specifications of the monitoring concept for FFH fish species of the State Office for Environmental Protection apply to the collection of stock, habitat and impairment parameters as well as the assessment Saxony-Anhalt (RANA 2010). The basis for the approach is the evaluation scheme (BWS) for nationwide FFH monitoring (BfN 2017, cf. Sachteleben & Behrens 2010 and Schnitter et al. 2006 - Annex 1.4.1), the nationwide concept for this Animal species monitoring (RANA 2010).
