HBS has been using the ERP system MS Dynamics NAV (former navision) for about 18 years. The software is used both in the Berlin Foundation Center as well as in the currently over 35 foreign offices as part of financial planning and controlling. An ERP system (so-called Enterprise ResourcePlanning) supports companies - including the HBS - to automate business processes and thereby plan, control and manage them efficiently. The aforementioned ERP system is currently also in use in the study work. The functions and workflows of these sub -areas are largely basedon in-house developments and HBS-specific adjustments to the software. The system must be renewed until the upcoming end of the manufacturer's support period in early 2027. Against this background, the requirements of the study work were raised to a specialist application.
