As part of the network expansion in the onshore area, the client intends to award insurance brokerage services for the TenneT projects/sections of the NordOstLink and MultiHUBs. Offshore wind power in particular plays an important role - the installed capacity of the wind power is expected to increase by 2045 Offshore wind farms in the North Sea will be expanded from currently around 9 gigawatts to 70 gigawatts. In Schleswig-Holstein, more renewable energy is already being generated at sea and on land than can be consumed. The more wind turbines there are on the coast every day rotate, the more energy has to be transported via the power grid. In the future, the NordOstLink will bring wind energy from the west coast directly to the region and make it usable where it is generated.
