Request for proposals are invited for Installation of Luphohlo Dam Floating Safety Boom
The main objective of this project is the installation of a floating safety boom around Luphohlo dam intake. The boom will demarcate the dam-s intake to prevent the public and Eswatini Electricity Company employees from reaching the intake because of the dangerous suction force that develops when power station machines are running.
The main scope objective of work is as follows:

a) Sourcing of material

b) Construction of anchors.

c) Installation of the floating safety boom

BASE SPECIFICATIONS

1. Brightly coloured flouts

2. Safety boom length is 160 meters

3. Distance between floats is 5 m

4. Intake height is 25 metres (from dam bottom to full position)

5. The boom should be 50 meters from the intake structure-s full position
