Description: In order to improve the sustainable management of its forest resources, the Republic of Congo has committed in 2008 in the negotiation of a Voluntary Partnership Agreement (VPA) for the application of forest regulations, governance and Trade (English Acronym Flegt for Forest Law Enforcement, Governance and Trade) with the European Union. The agreement officially entered into force on March 1, 2013.
The VAV audit system (SVL) of the Republic of Congo is composed of six elements including an independent audit.
