Implementation, Extension and Provision of a Central Phasor Data Concentrator System with Integrated WAMS Functionality
TenneT is a leading European transmission system operator responsible for the safe and reliable transmission of electrical energy over long distances. TenneT-s core tasks include the expansion and maintenance of the transmission grid, the integration of renewable energy sources, and the assurance of grid stability. TenneT-s grid area covers large parts of Germany and the Netherlands and includes both onshore and offshore connections. As an operator of critical infrastructure, the security and reliability of the systems in use are of particular importance. The aim of this tender is to replace the central Phasor Data Concentrator (PDC) at TenneT TSO GmbH (TTG) with a new system supporting PDC functionality, data storage, offline WAMS applications, trend monitoring WAMS applications, and data exchange with external PDCs. The implementation is planned for approximately Q3/2026. TTG-s new concept for PDC and WAMS applications includes in particular the following scope of services: a) Provision of a central PDC to collect and aggregate data streams from at least 400 PMUs and to store this data in a local data storage system.
