TENDER NOTICE- HYDROLOGICAL SURVEY AND DRILLING OF PRODUCTIVE DEEP BOREHOLE IN TUULO-BARWAQO VILLAGE, AFMADOW DISTRICT, LOWER JUBBA REGION –SOMALIA.
Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) has been present in Somalia since early 2004 and has since expanded its Horn of Africa Program to Kenya in 2006 and to Ethiopia in 2011. Since 2004, the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) has demonstrated a regional competence and expertise in working with displaced populations. NRC has mainly focused on Somalis who are displaced by the ongoing conflict and more recently by the drought and famine.
Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) Jubaland wishes to invite all interested and potential suppliers to collect tender documents in order to submit their offer regarding Hydrological survey and Drilling of productive deep borehole in TUULO BARWAQO Village, AFMADOW District, Lower Jubba Region. The project is undertaken within the framework of the NRC WASH program in Jubaland, Somalia.
Qualified Construction Contractors who wish to be considered for the proposed works, and who meet the below listed requirements are advised to collect a complete set of bid documents and instructions at NRC Kismayo and Dhobley offices.
1. Registration with the relevant authorities, including the possession of a valid operating license, to operate in Jubaland State (Lower Juba Region) and compliance with the tax authorities (Provide valid certificates)
1. Undertaken works of similar nature over the last 2-3 years, to satisfactory completion in Somalia
(Provide list of boreholes, client, cost, location and year drilled, status (successful or dry)
1. Possess the necessary resources, human and material, or the ability to organize them at short notice, to undertake this kind and scope of works. (Provide list of staff and qualifications, experience, list of drilling rigs, compressors, mud pumps, manufacturer’s name, year of manufacture, current location of the rig, Technical specifications of the rig)
2. The contractor must have adequate resources to undertake the works (Provide bank statement as from AUGUST-2019 to February 2020)
1. NRC will appoint appropriately, a supervisor who shall have free access to site at any time and all works shall be subject to his inspection and measurements.
2. The contractor will at all times have a competent drilling supervisor experienced in drilling in complex, collapsible formations.
3. The contractor will be responsible for security of staff and equipment and liable for all losses and
damage to equipment, materials and personnel.
Interested firms and institutions are advised to collect a complete set of bid documents and instructions at NRC Office in KISMAYO & DHOBLEY between 8:00am to 16:30pm by Sunday 8th March, 2020 to Sunday 22nd March, 2020
The completed and sealed bids are to be returned to the NRC Office Kismayo or Dhobley on or before 1630 hrs (local time) on Monday 23rd March, 2020
