In Baden-Württemberg there are comprehensive HWGK for around 11, 300 kilometers of rivers, which are to be updated step by step. The HWGK meet the requirements of the EC-HWRM-RL as well as the very high requirements of Section 65 of the BW Water Act. They unfold direct legal effect, which is why the quality requirements are correspondingly high. The existing HWGK is to be updated on approximately 105 km long bodies of water in the Itter and Elz catchment areas. This includes hydrological calculations and hydraulic ones Calculations (2-dimensional, non-stationary) must be carried out in accordance with the specified procedure. All hydraulically relevant structures in and on the water and on the foreshores (e.g. structures, diversions, graves) must be taken into account. The results must be converted into the HWGK data standard and submitted in the specified data format. The results of the initial HWGK compilation are freely accessible and can be found at https://www.hochwasser.baden-wuerttemberg.de/. HWGK-F GF Itter/Elz Goal: continuation of the Flood hazard maps in the Itter and Elz study area, in 6 individual catchment areas, all of which flow into the Neckar.
