Description of the Assignment: Overall Objective To provide high-level technical support to the Government of Angola, through the Intersectoral Commission for the Preparation of National Human Rights Reports (CIERNDH), in the preparation, consolidation, and finalization of national human rights reports, in compliance with international and regional reporting obligations, ensuring quality, coherence, and alignment with United Nations and African Union standards, while taking into account relevant cross-cutting environmental and climate-related considerations, including those linked to REDD+, where applicable. This includes the development and/or revision of technical reports related to: • The Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) and its Optional Protocols; • The African Charter on the Rights and Welfare of the Child; • The International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination (ICERD) (initial report); • The International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR) (periodic report/revision); • The translation and harmonisation of reports into one of the official United Nations working languages, in accordance with submission requirements.
