The Government of Sierra Leone (GoSL) has received funds from the African Development Bank (AfDB)) towards the cost of the Upgrading of the Mano River Union Road Development & Transport Facilitation Programme (MRU/RDTFP) Phase III: Upgrading of Kailahun - Koindu - Guinea - Liberia border Roads Lot I: Kailahun - Buedu 25Km and intends to apply part of the proceeds for payments under the contract for the provision of HIV/AIDS, Malaria, Ebola, COVID-19 & Gender Sensitization Awareness Consultancy Services. The service will involve the design and implementation of communication and public awareness programs for the prevention and management of HIV/AIDS, Malaria, Ebola, COVID-19 & Gender Sensitization Awareness within the project area throughout the duration of the project. The consultancy is expected to incorporate an awareness campaign strategy that will, motivate and educate Contractor and Consultant Personnel and the local communities and authorities about the need to reduce the risk of (transmission) of HIV/AIDS, Malaria, Ebola, COVID-19 & Gender Sensitization Awareness and to promote early diagnosis, counselling as well as to assist affected individuals to access treatment to recover from the associated diseases listed. The Project components include: (i) Upgrading of Climate Resilience Road and Bridge including new studies; (ii) Integrated Support; (iii) Transport and Trade Facilitation; and (iv) Programme Management. The Project will be implemented for 24 months plus 12 months for defects liability period.
