Jhpiego Rwanda, an affiliate of Johns Hopkins University, is inviting competent and reputable companies to submit their proposals for legal services.

Jhpiego enhances health and saves the lives of women and families in limited-resource settings. For nearly four decades, Jhpiego has put evidence-based health innovations into everyday practice to overcome barriers to high-quality healthcare services for the world's most vulnerable populations. From our origins as technical experts in reproductive, maternal, and child health, Jhpiego has grown to embrace new challenges, including HIV/AIDS, Malaria, and Cervical cancer prevention - reflecting the increasing interconnectedness of global health.

Jhpiego wishes to hire a Law Firm for advising and representing the Organization in any legal matters whenever required.

The scope of work is expected to be but not limited to the following activities: Providing legal advice, Drafting or reviewing legal documents, Representing Jhpiego in any litigation, or Providing any other legal assistance.

Qualifications and experience of the law firm

The Law Firm must demonstrate in the company profile, proven experience in the following fields both at the National & International levels: Business Law, Tax Law, Insurance Law, Labour Law, Criminal Law, Administrative Law, and any other relevant Laws.
The Law Firm must have a well-established Office address & easily accessible with an effective secretariat located in Kigali.
Instructions to bid:

Provide evidence of at least four (4) recommendation letters or good completion certificates/contracts of similar services rendered and/or ongoing services from reputable Institutions.
The list of your clients, name, and description of service contracts & their contact details (Telephone, e-mail, and contact person).
Provide detailed & updated CVs with certificates of two (02) permanent lawyers within the firm holding at least a Master-s Degree or a Professional Advance Diploma in relevant disciplines with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
Interested and prospective firms are also required to submit together with their offers: Trading License, A valid tax clearance certificate & valid Social Security certificate.
In addition to the Technical proposals, interested law firms are required to submit in a separate envelope a Financial Offer indicating an HOURLY PAY RATE in Rwf inclusive taxes, subject to negotiations with the best qualified & selected firm.
A duly signed and stamped proposal/offer by the authorized/representative containing two inner envelopes one for Technical & the other as a Financial offer must be submitted in one big outer sealed envelope addressed to the Country Director/Jhpiego-Rwanda by not later than 24/03/2023 at noon Local time, at Jhpiego Rwanda Office at Remera, Umuyenzi Plaza Building, 2nd Floor, Tel: 0788 381 188.

Any bidder who will meet challenges during the expression of interest and bid submission can request support through the email: Rwanda.Procurement@jhpiego.org during working hours from Monday to Thursday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM and Friday up to 1:00 PM.
