The South African Medical Research Council (SAMRC) Information Technology Services Division-s infrastructure is pivotal in supporting vaccine research, development, testing, and production in terms of managing surveillance data that informs vaccine design and disease prioritization and clinical data for testing of vaccines in South Africa. The SAMRC has various datacenters and needs to expand the existing high-performance computing (HPC). The expansion of the HPC is designed to significantly enhance the computational capacity, enabling faster and more efficient processing of large genomic datasets while the increased data storage is to manage the large amounts of data produced by the genome sequencing laboratories. This tender is to procure the supply and deliver of high-performance servers and high-capacity storage solutions capable of storing and processing large datasets (big data) for the SAMRC.
