For the existing backup solution on offline media, a maintenance extension for the included hardware and software is required for the next 3 years. The existing maintenance contracts expire on April 30, 2026. In order to take into account the requirements in the coming period, it is intended to expand the license volume for the source data by 22 TB.

1.1 Hardware elements of the existing backup solution The backup system consists of an IBM TS4500 Base Frame 3584-L25 with 4 3592-60F drives. The library is connected to the server using 2 IBM SAN switches SAN24B-6 8960-F24. 1.2 Software elements of the existing backup solution The software used is the IBM Storage Protect Suite and IBM Storage Protect for Virtualization and is licensed for front end terabytes. At the moment 78 TB are licensed. The license should be extended by 3 years. 1.3 License extension of the existing backup solution A new license is required to expand the source data by 22 TB. This includes 1 year of maintenance. This requires the expansion of 22 TB with an additional 2 years Extension (in addition to the 1 year standard) can be purchased, so that a total of 3 years of maintenance is included for the 22 TB expansion.
