H2 core network connection Chemnitz civil engineering and pipeline construction
eins energie in sachsen GmbH & Co. KG is planning to build a new, approximately 26 km long hydrogen high-pressure pipeline in the Mittelsachsen district between the Niederschoena district and the Hartha district to prepare the hydrogen core network connection for Chemnitz to the GASCADE hydrogen core network. For this project, eins energie in sachsen GmbH & Co. KG (eins) receives funding from the European Union from the Just Transition Fund (JTF). These were with the Free State Saxony requested.
The plan is to lay a high-pressure steel pipeline with a DN300 dimension that is suitable for transporting 100% hydrogen in the pressure stage MOP64. The steel pipes were already the subject of a tender process. The steel pipes are with a reinforced PE coating provided. Pipes intended for trenchless construction methods also have a GRP coating.
Fittings with dimensions of DN300 and DN 150 and shut-off valves for the construction of shut-off valve groups have also already been purchased.
