Tender Details

Guinea's health system depends on a complex supply chain forhealth products, which is crucial for the success of public health programs. However, the landscape is fragmented, with multiple vertical supply chainsoperating independently across different programs and structures. Thisfragmentation causes gaps in coordination, data management, interoperability, and digitization, ultimately limiting logistical visibility and effectivedecision-making throughout the system. In response to these challenges, the Republic of Guinea hastaken significant steps since 2015 to strengthen its health system, focusing onsupply chain improvements. With support from the SIAPS project, the countryconducted an assessment and subsequently established its first LogisticsManagement Information System (LMIS). The LMIS was designed to enhance theavailability, traceability, and management of essential medicines by providingreliable and timely data for informed decisions at all levels, from centraladministration to service delivery points.Despite the progress made with the LMIS, no mid-termevaluation has been performed since its launch, making it necessary to assessits effectiveness after nearly nine years of operation. Recognizing the needfor integration and optimization of supply chain data systems across keystakeholders, the Ministry of Health and Public Hygiene, with the World Bankand other partners, is initiating a comprehensive review. This assessment aimsto identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, and develop actionablerecommendations to reinforce Guinea-s supply chain information systems.
