The planned Genai laboratory at the Technical University of Clausthal follows this The aim of building a central research infrastructure for generative artificial intelligence in the context of the engineering system. The focus is on both the basic methodological development in artificial intelligence and the development of genai potential for engineering Applications. The planned infrastructure consists of a state-of-the-art GPU cluster that is optimized for training, finet tuning and the evaluation of large language and image models. With this platform, new research approaches in areas such as resource -efficient design, circulatory -oriented Production, cognitive robotics and sustainable mobility enable. The Genai LAB not only serves as a technical basis for university research, but as an innovation hub that networked regional universities, start-ups and industrial partners. It strengthens the position of the TU Clausthal in the area AI-based engineering methods and contributes significantly to the implementation of the Lower Saxony Ris3 innovation strategy.
