General renovation of Genovevaburg - natural stone work The construction project includes the complete renovation of the Genovevaburg, in the center of the city of Mayen. The measures are divided into the corresponding parts of the building: the office building (A), the brewery (B), Connecting wing (C), battlements (D) and the Golo tower (E). The current uses consist of the castle festival and the Eifel Museum. After the renovation, the uses in the castle rooms are divided into cultural & representation, castle festivals, Museum use and serving rooms. No ongoing use of the upper castle is planned for the duration of the renovation and conversion work. The special features of the construction work are described in the following ATV, the special contractual conditions and represent the boundary conditions for the project process.
