Due to the current security policy developments, the national and alliance defense is moving into the focus of the Bundeswehr in addition to the most diverse worldwide deployment scenarios. To the growing tasks of the Bundeswehr in the currently changing world political situation in fullTo be able to perceive qualitatively and quantitatively, the German Bundestag decided, among other things, to purchase new military equipment and new weapon systemsThe PA-200 Tornado weapon system currently in use must be replaced promptly by the more modern F-35A weapon system from US production.
The new weapon system will be stationed at the Buechel Air Force Base in Rhineland-Palatinate. This requires a spto rebuild specific infrastructure adapted to the new weapon system in the north of the property. By the time the first aircraft are delivered to Germany, this must be done by the American manufacturer Lockheed Martin to be completed as early as November 2026.
