The Bundeswehr Hospital Hamburg (BWK) is one of five Bundeswehr hospitals nationwide and has been open to military and civilian patients since 1969. With numerous diagnostic and clinical departments, the Bundeswehr Hospital Hamburg fulfills its functions as a clinic basic and standard care and is an important part of medical care for the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg. As part of the restructuring of the entire clinic configuration, new buildings were built for the central hospital functions (medical treatment and care). However, the restructuring did not end with the construction of the new buildings (House 2 - bed block, House 3 - multifunctional building). One of the subsequent steps is the final renovation of House 1, which will be carried out successively in construction phases. The upcoming construction phase includes: remaining area of ​​the cross building as well as the complete renovation of the west south wing. A key aspect of the restructuring is the various interim buildings and their gradual dismantling. The demolition of the interim connecting bridge between House 1, south wing, center and House 2 (bed block) must also be provided as part of the pending construction work.
