Project description: Building A at the University of Hildesheim from the late 1960s is being completely renovated. The planning is based on a building that has already been gutted. The aim is to structurally and technically renew the extremely outdated structure including facades, windows, roof and technical building equipment. The measure also includes restoring the operational safety of the Audimax through new ventilation, fire and pipe systems. The former cafeteria areas in the basement will be closed converted into a modern co-working space with around 900 m², based on new work concepts with flexible work and communication areas. Server rooms for a data center are being built in the basement.
