Gathering information as part of a MARKET EXPLORATION - For the procurement of systems for “space-based optical detection and tracking of objects in Earth orbit”. This is not a procurement procedure! It is a non-binding one Information query that serves solely for market research in accordance with Section 28 of the Procurement Ordinance (VgV). Description of the task: The German Space Agency in the German Aerospace Center e.V., Space Situation Division, is exploring procurement turnkey satellite-based observation systems for optical observations (detection and tracking) of space objects in the near-Earth range as well as the use of market-available data from existing space infrastructures. More Detection technologies for monitoring space objects from comparable distances can also be proposed. This involves fully integrated satellites with sensor units including control software and control systems and software for the automated processing of the observation data and, if necessary, the subsequent maintenance and support of the systems in orbit.
