The subject of the award procedure is the object planning for the electrical and fire protection upgrade of the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Systems and Construction Technology (IPK) in Berlin. The building serves as a research and Laboratory location with laboratories, machine halls as well as office and seminar rooms. The focus is on the modernization of the electrical engineering infrastructure, in particular the renewal of the sub-distributions, the construction of a new main distribution building and the Switching to your own transformer station. Special requirements arise from the existing situation (TN-C-S system, evolved distribution structure), the high demands on operational and supply security as well as fire protection and integration energy efficient solutions. The scope of planning includes property planning in the existing building, structural adjustments, the coordination of the technical building equipment and the implementation of fire protection and sustainability-related requirements.
