Tender Details

The Rhineland-Palatinate State Office for the Environment (LfU) uses spatially high-resolution LARSIM water balance models for operational flood forecasting. The water balance model LARSIM (Large Area Runoff Simulation Model) enables process and area-detailed simulation and predictions land-based water balance. LARSIM was developed as non-commercial software primarily as part of commissioned work and partly as part of research projects. The conception and coordination of the maintenance and further development of LARSIM is carried out by the LARSIM developer communitybility (LEG). The German federal states of Ba-den-Wuerttemberg, Bavaria, Hesse, North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate and the Federal Office for the Environment (Switzerland) are involved. Flood control centers in France, Austria, Belgium and Luxembourg also use LARSIM for operational forecastingentered. The LfU intends to use an open procedure to conclude a framework agreement based on an EVB-IT creation contract for case-by-case adaptation developments of the LARSIM water balance models and ongoing support in the operational operation of the LARSIM flood forecasting systemsto include both those used in flood forecasting in Rhineland-Palatinate and those within the framework of the agreement on cooperation in the maintenance and support of the transnational flood forecasting system LARSIM" in Saarland, in Luxembourg, in the French Grand E region...
