EVUPlan: “Developing modernization potential in district heating networks (“ModFW”)” The aim of the research project is to systematically identify and identify the losses and energy efficiency potential of different heating network types and generations quantify. Building on this, sensible technical measures or bundles of measures should be developed for different types of heating networks to reduce energy losses along the entire energy value chain. In particular should The focus is on the thermo-hydraulic system, interconnection, control and temperature levels of the system in question and the associated components including the house connection stations. In addition, measures for digitalization, intelligent control strategies and data-based methods are included in the investigation. One goal is to create guidelines for operators of heating networks that provide network-type-appropriate timetables for the implementation of bundles of measures to maximize the use and efficiency of existing heating network infrastructures, taking economic aspects into account. Finally, the project will provide impulses for developing existing efficiency potential through new or existing ones political instruments are given.
