Tender Details

1. Initial situation and project goal The building complex of the Volksgarten comprehensive school in Mönchengladbach was built between 1955 and 1959 and consists of a total of ten building parts with different numbers of floors (one, two and three floors, predominantly with a basement). An auditorium was added in 1960, while further expansions took place in 1973 (school pavilion) and 1991 (canteen). The school buildings are still in use, but have significant structural defects and are outdated Infrastructure and no longer meet the current requirements of a modern educational institution. The aim of the project is the comprehensive renovation of the comprehensive school, the modernization of the existing building structure as well as the demolition and new construction selected buildings to meet current safety, energy and functional requirements. 2.
