INVITATION TO TENDER
FEASIBILITY STUDY FOR HYBRID MINI-GRIDS IN ZAMBEZIA AND NAMPULA, MOZAMBIQUE
The governments of Mozambique and Belgium collaborate on the project "Renewable Energy for Rural Development Phase 2” (RERD2) (MOZ 15 034 11) (2018-2023).
This bilateral cooperation project co-managed by the Belgian Development Agency, Enabel and the Energy Fund, FUNAE, aims to increase access to energy in rural areas through investments in renewable energy systems and support mechanisms that ensure sustainability. The project will invest in the construction of mini-grids based on renewable energy.
In order to assist and increase the availability of energy in 5 (five) locations, Enabel and FUNAE intend to hire specialized consulting services. The consultant should carry out a technical and financial feasibility study of 5 hybrid mini-grid locations of which 3 (three) in the coastal area of Zambezia province and 2 (two) in the inland area in Nampula Province.
Eligible applicants: National and international consulting firms with experience in carrying out feasibility studies of hybrid mini-grids may submit proposals at the address indicated in the Terms of Reference until 30th March 2020 at 17:00 (Maputo time).
