Tender Details
As a central transit country in Europe, Germany is faced with the challenge of improving the performance and availability of its engineering structures in view of the increasing age of bridges, increasing traffic loads and evolving regulations ensure. Limited financial and human resources, particularly due to a shortage of skilled workers, as well as traffic-related restrictions during conservation measures with negative consequences such as increased CO₂ emissions require new solutions. In this In this context, the digitalization of planning, implementation and documentation processes for conservation and restoration measures is becoming increasingly important. The aim of this research project is to explore the potential of supporting digital tools and processes in the field of preservation and restoration of engineering structures and to present them as examples. The aim is to make it clear at which points in the process chain digitalization contributes to acceleration, which data is used for planning, Implementation and subsequent operation are relevant and how construction supervisors and executors can be supported. Another focus is on optimizing documentation and improving quality assurance during execution digital support. The digital tool is developed for a relevant task area and tested on an example (plate beams or hollow girders with different levels of damage according to RI-EBW-PRÜF). The focus is on the process flow following the structural inspection, especially in the areas of “Protection and repair of concrete components” and “Cracks in concrete components” of ZTV-ING.
