The aim of this research project is to develop a specialized data set for the semantic segmentation of high-resolution orthophotos for improved object recognition and classification in remote sensing. The focus is on the annotation of the orthophotos according to the specified ones Object classes, the model-based validation of the data set as well as the documentation and transfer of the data. The final data set is used internally, in particular for further training of segmentation models and to improve object detection in aerial image-based applications. The The contractor's area of responsibility includes labeling the images according to a defined 8-class system, developing a model for the semantic segmentation of the labeled data and training and optimizing the model on the created data set.
