Tender Details

Tenders are invited for Ezulwini Power Station Waterways Safety Assessment Study.

The main scope of work includes the following;
a. Establishment and assessment of the danger zones
b. Carrying out of a risk assessment
i. Grading of the various zones based on the impact and likelihood
c. Provision of viable options to mitigate risk
d. Identify the location of existing establishments within the defined danger zone
e. Recommendations on how to deal with the homesteads which fall within the danger
zones
f. Recommendations of means to protect the danger zones from future settlement of
homes.

In carrying out the study, the Consultant shall ensure that the report conform to Eswatini and
International Codes and Standards. The Terms of Reference for the Project are:
ToR 1 – Establishment and assessment of danger zones
The Consultant shall establish the worst case conditions, e.g. when the system is under extreme
pressure, in order to evaluate the extent and impact of hazard that may be suffered should the
system fail.
The assessment shall evaluate a reasonable safe settlement radius by performing the following
tasks as part of the assessment:
? Work with EEC, the Client, and any other relevant authorities to get acquainted with the
available information for the study
? Establish and grade the different danger zones based on the various exposure levels
? Determine the major exposure level when the system is under extreme pressure.
