In order to compensate and control the traffic flows changed by the major construction project, road construction adjustments are required within the Bonn-Nord motorway junction: - New construction of an exit ramp (Branch 5) from the A565 (above) to the A555 (below) in the direction of Bonn-Zentrum, or distribution circle / Potsdamer Platz. - Reconstruction of the existing ramp (branch 6). Branch 6 directs traffic coming from Cologne via the A555 to the A565 in the direction of Siegburg. - Construction of a retaining wall using sheet pile construction. - Partial dismantling of an existing noise barrier. - Construction of a rain retention basin, as an earthen basin with an upstream clarification basin in concrete construction, including construction of the access road and ancillary areas. - Reconstruction of the existing sewer system with new installation accordingly the new lanes. - Adaptation and construction of protective devices and markings according to the new lanes.
