The expansion of the outer harbors of the Wedltenstedt lock will result in around 300, 000 m3 of dredged material. Sampling for pollutants is required to determine the disposal route for the dredged material. In particular, the material must be classified according to the Replacement Building Materials Ordinance introduced in 2023 take place. It is not possible to convert the already known classes to LAGA.
In the area of the cutting embankment on the west side of the lower outer harbor (approx. SKS km 3, 850 to 4, 100), additional subsoil investigations are also required to assess the stability of the building during the widening SKS embankments to be created are necessary.
It is not possible for the WSV itself to carry out this because of the presence of small caliber ordnance must be calculated and a selective exploration of explosive ordnance must be carried out. In order to reduce the interfaces and the number of people on site, the analysis of the samples is not carried out by the BfG's framework contract partner but is also awarded with this tender.
