Expansion and renovation of the elementary school to include all-day care and a cafeteria At the Schwarzwaldstr. location 4 of the Nikolaus-Kopernikus elementary and secondary school in Hügelsheim, a new two-story cafeteria with childcare rooms is to be built. The cafeteria and Lunch service is planned on the ground floor. There will be rooms on the upper floor set up to look after school children. The existing school building was built in 1989/1990. The premises on Schwarzwaldstr. are currently sufficient. 4 not to accommodate the entire primary school grades 1 to 4. For reasons of capacity, grades 3 and 4 are housed at the Werkrealschule location at Ontario Str. 16. In the existing school building Schwarzwaldstrasse. 4 became classrooms converted into rooms for care and a cafeteria. With the planned new building, all primary school classes will once again be looked after and taught at one location. After completion of the new building, the existing building will be converted Fire protection needs to be updated so that all grade levels can use the rooms on Schwarzwaldstr. 4 can be taught and supervised. In addition, the construction of a trench drainage system is planned as part of the new building as Measure to prevent flooding of the basement.
