The Evangelical Hospital Mettmann (EVK Mettmann) plans to build a new ward building to accommodate neurology and geriatrics as well as a central kitchen and a logistics area. The buildings of the EVK Mettmann are located in the inner -city context in a central location and are surrounded by roads on two sides. The EVK Mettmann has all specialist clinics of a district hospital along with nursing school as well as a large cafeteria with a restaurant area, outpatient services, medical supply store, large physical therapy and all diagnostic areas. The EVK Mettmann is a major hospital for the supply in the district of Mettmann, which plays a central role, especially in the sense of expanded emergency care. Located on the street "Zum Posen" is the spacious parking area, in which freestanding - also as a supplement To the offer - a psychiatric day clinic. The area falls steeply towards the parking lot. The component A from Ev. Mettmann Hospital is to be demolished. A new building is to be built on this area. The water supply center is currently located in the basement of component A. Before the building can be demolished, the water supply center in component B must be rebuilt.
