GENERAL NOTICE OF AWARD OF CONTRACTS
The Republic of Niger has received a donation from the African Development Fund to finance the Economic Competitiveness and Financial Management Support Project (PACEGEF).
The aim of PACEGEF is to improve Niger`s economic competitiveness by strengthening the macroeconomic framework, improving governance in the productive sectors (industry, mines and oil) and promoting the private sector.
The specific objectives of the project are as follows: (i) Improve the collection of tax revenues; (ii) Improve strategic planning and public finance management; (iii) Improve the business environment and the contribution of the industrial sector to the formation of GDP; and (iv) Reduce gender inequalities through better economic empowerment of women.

PACEGEF is broken down into three components below: (A) Component 1 - Support for improving financial management, planning and transparency in public policies; (B) Support for the governance of the productive sectors and the promotion of the private sector; and (C) Project management.
The first component is divided into three sub-components, namely (i) support for the mobilization of public resources; (ii) support for strategic planning and financial management; and (iii) support for the control system and transparency in public policies.
The second component is divided into two sub-components below: (i) support for the governance of the productive sectors (industry, mines, petroleum); and (ii) Support for improving the business environment and promoting the private sector.
As for the third component, it relates to project implementation and monitoring and evaluation activities.
The issue of women`s economic autonomy is dealt with transversally in the different sub-components of the project.
The activities supported by the project in its two operational components contribute to creating a viable macroeconomic framework and the conditions for improving the country`s economic competitiveness.
The acquisition of goods, services and / or works will be done in accordance with the Bank`s acquisition policy, October 2015 edition. The acquisition files should be available in February 2020.
