The "Zero Out-of-School Children in The Gambia" (2022 2025) project is a nationwide initiative implemented by UNICEF Gambia in collaboration with the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education (MoBSE), ChildFund The Gambia, and EFANet, and funded in part by the Education Above All Foundation through its Educate A Child (EAC) Programme. With a total budget of USD 7.457, 5956 million (of which USD 3.71 million is funded by EAC), the project aims to enroll 66, 765 out-of-school children (OOSC)—including 61, 765 primary-aged children (7 12 years) and 5, 000 overaged adolescents—into formal or alternative education pathways, with a focus on reaching girls (51%) and children with disabilities (1.5%).
