The GDI is currently based on an MS SQL Server database with ArcSDE. The GIS software available is ArcGIS Pro and ArcMap for use. Geospatial services are provided using ArcGIS Enterprise. The future infrastructure will be based on the open source database system PostgreSQL with the spatial extension PostGIS. QGIS will be used as GIS software. The geodata services infrastructure should be implemented via GeoServer and/or QGIS server. In addition to processing GIS projects, ETL (Extract-Transform-Load) processes are currently also being carried out using ArcGIS and Python using stand-alone scripts ArcPy interface used to update data.
