Background Automatic charging systems have been developed for several years to support autonomous vehicles, but also as a convenience option. The standardization activities for the different versions are already underway. Basically, there is a difference between inductive charging systemsA distinction is made between men and automatic plug-in systems. What unites the different versions is the need to determine the position of the vehicle, usually seen in connection with a positioning aid for the driver. Although the standardization of automatic charging systems in itself is fhas progressed, the puzzle piece of such vehicle positioning is still missing. Some technology variants have already been investigated, particularly for inductive charging systems, but no final solution has yet been found. The standardization of automatic plug-in systems also began at the end of 2019eme, which created new requirements for the positioning function. Other applications, such as car washes, also became more and more the subject of discussion. There is a significant desire on the part of the vehicle industry to have vehicle positioning across a single section for all applicationslocation/technology. So far, the discussions have been carried out separately across several committees. Objective The subject of this call for proposals is the creation and management of a working group at NA Automobil.
