To implement the offshore connection lines, 50Hertz Transmission GmbH (hereinafter 50Hertz) is planning benthos surveys in the German coastal waters of the Baltic Sea. The aim is to achieve the necessary for the planned OST-2-4 grid connection system and the planned Bornholm Energy Island (BEI) interconnectorTo carry out proper examinations in accordance with the specifications of the approval and specialist authorities. 50Hertz Transmission GmbH is the client for this joint investigation campaign. With an EU-wide award, the necessary benthos sampling in the section of the German coastal sea will be carried outaccording to the standard investigation concept "Standard investigation of the effects of offshore wind turbines on the marine environment (2013)" (StUK4) of the Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency (BSH). The benthos samples provide an assessment basis for the necessaryApproval documents. The results serve to verify and, if necessary, modify the biotope and habitat types derived from geotechnical and geophysical data. The benthic fauna typical of the area and habitat must also be determined and presented in appropriate reports
