The THEORETIKUM houses teaching and research facilities of the Faculty of Medicine, many natural sciences as well as scientific computing and the IT, as well as library and service facilities to operate this complex. Some areas also serve to accommodate clinical facilities at the university hospital. The THEORETIKUM consists of 21 buildings, all of which are connected to each other above ground via bridges and via a traffic or supply level in the basement.
