DREWAG Stadtwerke Dresden GmbH (hereinafter DREWAG), a subsidiary of Sachsen Energie AG, operates the central district heating network (ZFHN) of the city of Dresden. As part of the desired decarbonization, the share of renewable heat generation should be increased be significantly increased. An important component is power-to-heat systems (P2H systems), which use electricity generated from renewable sources to generate heat. Electrode heating boilers enable the production of hot water for district heating. Before Against this background, DREWAG is planning to build an electrode heating boiler system (EHK system) to generate heat for the ZFHN at the Dresden-Reick thermal power station (HKW Re).
