Civil engineering work including HVAC Pipe construction Electric technology MSR technology / IT Gasunie Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG (GUD) operates an approximately 4, 700 kilometer long long-distance pipeline network for natural gas and is currently planning the electrification of its Rysum compressor station (VDS Rysum). The location is around 10km as the crow flies west of the city of Emden in East Frisia and around 3km from the mouth of the Ems River. The approach is from the direction of Emden via the L2 state road in the direction of the town of Rysum. The VDS Rysum has been in operation since 1979. There are currently four compressor units with gas turbine drives installed in VDS Rysum: Compressor E1 with gas turbine drive Solar Taurus 70, installed in 2015, overhauled in 2020 Compressor E2 with gas turbine drive Solar Mars 90, installed in 1979, operating license ended in December 2023 due to non-compliance with emission limits Compressor E3 with gas turbine drive Solar Mars 100S, installed in 1996, overhauled in 2022 Compressor E4 with gas turbine drive MAN THM-1304-11, installed in 2005 The compressor units E1, E3 and E4 meet the current requirements of the 13th BImSchV (Federal Immission Control Ordinance). The compressor unit E2 does not meet the current requirements of the 13th BImSchV (Federal Immission Control Ordinance) and had to be shut down at the end of 2023.
