Electricity delivery 2027 - FAIR The Facility for Antiproton and Ion Research in Europe GmbH (FAIR) requires electrical energy to operate the buildings, research facilities and other operating facilities. The collection points are located in the e-Netz network area Südhessen AG. The annual consumption is forecast for the coming years in these documents (see Figures 1 and 2 in the LV). The existing delivery contract expires on December 31, 2026. As part of this tender, delivery is scheduled for January 1, 2027 be awarded for three years. There is also the unilateral option to extend delivery by one year. In the future, FAIR will operate scientific experimental facilities (particle accelerators) for research into heavy ions.
