Tenders are invited for EDF — Technical assistance for the development of a social protection system in Swaziland.
The contract is for technical assistance to develop a social protection system in Swaziland and will comprise 4 key experts and a number of non-key experts. Key expert 1 will support institutional development and reform in the Department of Social Welfare (DSW) in the Deputy Prime Minister's Office. Key expert 2 will support human resource development in the DSW with on-the-job training and modular courses. Key expert 3 will support development of a bachelor's level academic course in social work at the University of Swaziland. Key expert 4 will support the Ministry of Labour and Social Security to develop contributory social security schemes.
Scope for additional services:The contracting authority may, at its own discretion, extend the project in duration and/or scope subject to the availability of funding up to a maximum not exceeding the length and value of the initial contract. Any extension of the contract would be subject to satisfactory performance by the contractor.
