BACKGROUND Climate risk analyzes are for the energy system indispensable because they make the effects of the changing climate on the entire energy infrastructure visible and enable informed decisions. Extreme weather events - from heat waves to storms to floods - can Damage power plants, transmission networks and storage facilities, endanger security of supply and cause enormous costs.
