Along with the Cologne-Porz site, the DLR Oberpfaffenhofen site is one of the largest research centers in Germany. Thirteen scientific institutes and facilities are located on the site. The location currently employs around 1, 800 people. The main focuses of the research center include:Among other things, participation in space missions, climate research, research and development for earth observation, the expansion of navigation systems and the further development of robotics.
In addition to the existing properties, the building stock is constantly being renewed and with renovations to buildingsadapted to the respective requirements. This means that not all building documents (facility lists and documentation) for new buildings and renovations are available at the start of the contract.
