Tender Details

To ensure rail traffic during the general renovation of the Lübeck - Hamburg line in 2028, the 1121 Lübeck - Büchen railway line is to be used as a diversion route. For this it is necessary to technically adapt this route to prepare for additional train services. The measure includes the technical upgrading of the Lübeck - Büchen route in order to be able to accommodate some of the connections between Hamburg and Lübeck during the construction period. The goal is - even during the Total closure of route 1120 - to maintain rail operations that are as stable and reliable as possible. The preparatory measures serve exclusively for temporary use as a diversion route and make an important contribution to securing the route Passenger and freight transport in the affected period. The railway line under consideration is located in the federal state of Schleswig-Holstein and is part of the railway line with route number 1121. It runs in the section between Lübeck and Büchen and is in the Network classified as main railway. The route is not electrified and extends over kilometer 2, 482 to 46, 598.
