Disposal TUM GAR kerosene damage restoration

The subject of this tender is the necessary disposal/recycling services that are required as part of the renovation by soil replacement of the kerosene that occurred in 2021damage occurs on the TUM Garching grounds. The type of disposal/recycling is left to the contractor. The client would like a microbiological off-site treatment of the soil material contaminated with kerosene as a type of recycling, but this is not mandatory. Tuee Construction work to remediate the contaminated areas will be tendered separately. The location of the area to be renovated can be found in appendices 1 and 2 to the LV attached to the tender documents. According to available information, due to the malfunction of a fuel pump, two...5, 000 and 5, 500 liters of kerosene escaped and penetrated the underground. As part of the investigations to determine the extent of the damage, pollutant levels of mineral oil hydrocarbons (MKW) of an average of 3, 500 mg/kg to 6, 300 mg/k were found in the unsaturated and saturated soil zonesg (maximum up to 13, 000 mg/kg) determined. Up to 230 mg/kg of volatile aromatic hydrocarbons (BTEX) were detected.
