Tender Details

Tenders are invited for Diagnostic Equipment Sets.

1. The Government of Uganda represented by the Ministry of Health received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Uganda Reproductive Maternal and Child Health Services Improvement Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Supply of Medical Instruments for 81 Upgraded Maternity Units Under URMCHIP, 124 UGIFT Maternity Units and Selected Operational HC III Under Two (02) Lots.

2. The Ministry of Health now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for Procurement of Medical Instruments mentioned above under two (02) lots:

Lot 2: Diagnostic Equipment Sets.

3. Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding procedures as specified in the World Bank-s Guidelines: Procurement of Goods, Works and Non-Consulting Services under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants by World Bank Borrowers January 2011 revised July 2014 (Procurement Guidelines), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Guidelines. In addition, please refer to paragraphs 1.6 and 1.7 setting forth the World Bank-s policy on conflict of interest.



4. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from the Ministry of Health and inspect the bidding document during office hours from 08:30AM to 05:00PM at the address below.

5. A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested Bidders upon submission of a written application to the address in 4 above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of UGx 200, 000 (Uganda Shillings Two Hundred Thousand) or USD 50 (United States Dollars Fifty). The method of payment will be by cash deposit to Diamond Trust Bank onto the Health- NTR Account Number 000140168000001. The document will be collected from MOH Procurement Offices upon presentation of proof of payment.

6. Bids must be delivered to the address in 4 above at or before May 27, 2021 at 11:00AM (Local Time). Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders- designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address in 4 above on May 27, 2021 at 11:15AM (Local Time).

7. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security as follows:

Lot 2; UGx 11, 000, 000 (Uganda Shillings Eleven Million) or equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency.
