Development, implementation, operation and maintenance of the Bavarian cycling information system The Bavarian Cycling Information System (BAYRIS) creates a new basis for the central data storage of cycling-related data in Bavaria with decentralized maintenance created. The focus is on cycling. The Bavarian cycling network (Bavarian cycling network and Bavarian network for cyclists) forms the data basis, which is available as a file geodatabase. More cycling data from state and local authorities should be provided complement the system. The aim is to create an intuitive web application as an information and cooperation platform for recording, aggregating, maintaining and exchanging cycling infrastructure data in Bavaria. This is done by providing basic Editing tools, setting up efficient maintenance processes as well as visualization and evaluation options for the entered data for state authorities and municipalities, independent of the authority network and without installation effort. The data model BAYRIS and the use of linear referencing must be taken into account. Access by authorized persons should take place via secure user management with different authorizations.
