Tender Details

Persistent, mobile and toxic, as well as very persistent and very mobile chemicals are those that can spread in the drinking water resources. If a fabric is persistent and continues its environmental emissions, the concentration of this substance in the environment increases. If this persistent fabric is also mobile, it is distributed in the water cycle. This reduces the location of the emission from the location of the effect. A secure concentration in the environment is not possible for these substances.

As part of the REACH Chemicals Ordinance, five substances with PMT/VPVM properties have been regulated in elaborate individual fabric evaluations due to a comparable concern to substances with carcinogenic, mutagen or reproductive oxic, or PBT/VPVB properties. Since April 20, 2023, substances with PMT/VPVM properties have now been systematically addressed in the regulatory framework of the regulation on the classification, labeling and packaging of fabrics and mixtures (regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008).
